Every year it is recommended that people get a flu shot to avoid spending time at home feeling horrendously ill and stuffed up over the cold winter. Elderly people are especially warned that their health could be in serious jeopardy without a flu shot. In recent years, this warning has been extended to children and even teenagers. 1. These Flu Shots May Not Even Work
There is absolutely no solid evidence that flu shots actually work. The flu shot is only able to protect against certain strains of the flu, but there are so many strains that it is impossible to become vaccinated against every possible sickness in the area. As a result, if you come into contact with a strain that you are not protected from, then you will still get the flu.
